If that’s not for you, there are also Grab cars waiting at the side of the station. If you have the Grab app handy on your phone, you can start arranging for a ride while you’re still in the station.
From our experience, taking Grab is cheaper than taking a taxi. For large groups, you might want to take a few cars.
3. Private Tour Service
But if you really want to stick together, Explore Ipoh offers private tour services from Ipoh Amanjaya Bus Station to anywhere in Ipoh.
This will be throughout the day (typically 8:30am to 6pm) for easy and comfortable sightseeing in Ipoh.

In case you must be at the station for a while, it’s not a bad place to wait a couple of hours.
The fully air-conditioned station has two floors although the second floor is void of shops.
Shops on the ground floor include mobile and sim card services, a sizeable convenience mart (KK Mart) with a seating area for dine-in customers, a local restaurant franchise (Di Naina) and snack stalls.
AirAsia has one lot close to the bus ticket counter too. A few self-serving ticket kiosks are available in the station too although we don’t see many people using these.
There’s an information counter in front of the main entrance to the station as well.
Additionally, Ipoh Amanjaya Bus Station has several seating areas, toilets, and prayer facilities for Muslims.
If you don’t mind walking out of the station and across the main road, there is a hypermarket (Mydin Mall Meru Raya) across the station.
And commercial shophouses too. Of these dining options are limited to halal food.
